The Irish Mortgage Holders Organisation is a not for profit organisation which aims to facilitate independent mortgage/debt resolution between lenders/creditors and mortgage holders.
Our aim is to help you deal with indebtedness and allow you to move forward.
What are we doing ?
We are currently working with both Irish and International organisations to structure solutions and processes that will assist people who are in debt deal with their creditors. This can be achieved by giving people the tools to deal with their creditors themselves or by giving them access to a specialist negotiation team who will deal with creditors on their behalf.
FEES
The Irish Mortgage Holders Organisation is a not for profit organisation that offers a full range of services including, debt advice, negotiation, insolvency, and bankruptcy.
We provide a professional service with access to Qualified Financial Advisors (QFA), Personal Insolvency Practitioner’s (PIP), solicitors, and experienced negotiators. We have operating costs including staff, office rental, insurance, office equipment and administrative costs.
We do not outsource any services, except to the Bar Council of Ireland when we are seeking additional legal advice from Barristers, which is provided pro bono, as we are approved by the Bar council Of Ireland’s Voluntary Assistance Scheme or on occasion to our insolvency partners Grant Thornton.
No client is ever turned away due to an inability to pay a fee. Fees are only charged where there is an ability to pay, determined by reference to the client’s standard financial statement.
In order to be as transparent as possible we have outlined our charges below:
• AIB / EBS / Haven Mortgage Borrowers
Free service – There is no charge
On the 18th November 2013 the IMHO started a pilot scheme to assist borrowers. This is funded with grant aid from the AIB Group. To date over 1,500 long term sustainable mortgage solutions have been agreed.
• KBC Borrowers
Free service – There is no charge
On the 4th March 2014 the IMHO started a pilot scheme to assist borrowers. This is funded with grant aid from KBC Bank Ireland. To date over 500 long term sustainable mortgage solutions have been agreed.
• Other banks
Initial consultation and submission of a proposal to the bank (1 or 2 properties): €350
This fee is only charged if a client has the ability to pay, as evidenced from the SFS.
For consultation and a full negotiation for those with multiple buy-to-let properties pricing is provided at the time of contact.

Insolvency Services
The Irish Mortgage Holders Organisation is the only not for profit organisation in Ireland, regulated by the Insolvency Service of Ireland, who has an in-house Personal Insolvency Practitioner (PIP). Authorisation number 00088.
There is no charge for an initial consultation.
In the event of a successful scheme being arranged fees will be charged to creditors.
Bankruptcy
Free service – There is no charge
Our team of experts, including lawyers and Personal Insolvency Practitioners volunteer to provide debtors with a full bankruptcy service at no cost. There are mandatory court fees that must be paid by everyone seeking bankruptcy. These fees are €200 to be paid to the Official Assignee and €65 that is paid to advertise a bankruptcy in Iris Oifigiúil after a person has been adjudicated a bankrupt. Our bankruptcy team are experienced bankruptcy professionals.
