Limerick City and County Council are interested in purchasing and leasing vacant properties and sites in Limerick city and county with a view to achieving social housing targets set out under Rebuilding Ireland - Action Plan for Housing and Homelessness.

Selling Your Property

A property will be considered once demand can be established; however properties which are currently vacant or are owner occupied will be prioritised. The objective of the Acquisition and Leasing programme is to provide homes for the people of Limerick in sustainable communities with a good balance of mixed income and mixed tenure households.

Buy and Renew Scheme

Limerick City and County Council are operating a Buy and Renew Scheme to focus on older stock in urban areas with a view to tackling dereliction and improving streetscapes. Please contact us if you know or have an interest in Limerick City and County Council looking at a vacant property.

Long Term Leasing (10 – 25 years)

Guaranteed 80% rent

Repair & Leasing Scheme (5 – 25 years)

Have you a vacant property in need of repairs? The purpose of the scheme is to bring long term vacant properties to the required standard for Long Term Leasing and the benefits include:

No rent arrears
No vacancy costs
No letting fees
Guaranteed 80% rent
Up to €40,000 loan available for refurbishment

Repair & Leasing Scheme

The purpose of the scheme is to bring long term vacant properties to the required standard for Long Term Leasing.
